Nikiti
Welcome to Nikiti
Nikiti puts the visitor at the start of a dilemma. Mountain or sea? Whatever you choose will leave you just as pleasant memories.
The crossroads of the main road lead you either - if you turn left as you come from Thessaloniki - into the winding streets that end up in the prehistoric settlement, where houses built from 1830 or - if you turn right - to the beach of Nikiti where the cafes successive to each other and offer, without exception, shade and sea views.

The old settlement, with the Macedonian architecture of the houses, the characteristic chimneys displaying the art of their masters, the church of Agios Nikitas, built in 1867, and the old school, are offered for a walk any time of the day.
Do not forget to take a walk and dine or have a drink at the beach of Nikiti, on the sandy beach and next to the sea.
If you happen to be in Nikiti on 15 September, on the day of the Saint's feast, keep in mind that a feast is organized and a litany of the icon of Saint Nikitas takes place. Visit the ruins of the basilica of Sofroni, 2.5 km southeast of the village. It is a 6th-century temple with magnificent mosaic flooring.
Worthwhile beaches such as Agios Ioannis, Kalogria, Kavios, Lagomandra!
